Managing Your Account

Your profile is your identity in Orbyte. Go to Settings and tap Profile to see your display name, email address, and avatar. Your display name is what appears to people you invite to groups - it’s how they’ll know who’s sharing photos with them.

You can change your display name anytime. Just tap Edit next to your name, type something new, and save. If you upload a profile photo, it shows up on your profile and in groups where you’re a member. Your email address stays the same - that’s how we keep your account secure and send you important updates.

Keeping your password strong is one of the best ways to protect your photo library. To change it, go to Settings, tap Security, and select Change Password. Enter your current password, then type your new one twice to confirm. Make it something only you know - a mix of letters, numbers, and characters works best.

If you forget your password, no problem. On the login screen, tap Forgot Password. We’ll send you an email with a link to reset it. That link works for one hour, so act quickly. Once you set a new password, you can log back in right away.

Orbyte sends you emails about important account activity - like when someone accepts a group invitation, or when you’re running low on storage. You control what you get.

Go to Settings and tap Notifications. Toggle email types on or off based on what matters to you. Want fewer emails? Turn off non-critical notifications. Want to stay in the loop about everything? Keep them all on. You can change these anytime.

If you decide Orbyte isn’t for you, you can delete your account. Fair warning - this is permanent. You’ll lose access to all your photos, groups, and settings. There’s no undo button.

To delete your account, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. We’ll ask you to confirm - because we want to make sure you really mean it. Once you confirm, your account and all its data are gone. If you’re sure, that’s your choice to make.
