FAQ

Yes. Orbyte has a free tier that includes basic photo and video storage plus AI features like smart search and face recognition. Paid plans unlock additional storage and priority support - choose what works for you.

Your media is stored securely in the cloud using Amazon S3, with encryption at rest. Your data stays in your account and is physically redundant across multiple AWS data centers to ensure it’s always available.

Absolutely. You always own your data. Download individual photos anytime, or export your entire library whenever you want. No lock-in, no surprises.

Orbyte analyzes visual content to automatically understand what’s in your photos - people, objects, places, activities, and more. No need to manually tag anything. This powers smart search, so you can find “birthday party photos” or “beach sunset” without ever typing keywords.

Yes. Face data, media, and analysis stay in your account. Your data is never used to train Orbyte’s AI models, and it’s never shared with third parties. We handle your memories like we handle our own.

Yes. Create a Group in your account, invite family members by email, and choose what you want to share with them. They’ll need an Orbyte account to view shared photos.

Your photos stay accessible. If you exceed the free tier storage limit after downgrading, you can still view and download your photos, but can’t upload new media until you free up space or re-subscribe.

The Orbyte web app works on mobile browsers - phones, tablets, anything with a browser. Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon. For now, open Orbyte in Safari or Chrome on your phone for a great mobile experience.

Go to Settings, then Account, then click Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data - this action cannot be undone. Download your photos first if you want to keep them.

We’d love to hear from you. Email support@orbyte.app with details about the bug or your feature idea. If you’re on GitHub, you can also open an issue in our public repository.
